Restricted Items

The following items are deemed unsuitable for shipment by DHL, and are therefore restricted. Any of these items being sent may result in surcharges, delays or confiscation by authorities where appropriate. No transit cover or guarantees whatsoever will apply to these items. These items are sent at your own risk.

• Articles of exceptional value (e.g., works of art, antiques, precious stones, gold and silver)
• Furniture (Flat packed is acceptable if in doubt ask us 0121 288 4556/4557)
• Furs & Ivory
• Insects, Larve, Pupae etc.
• Glass / Ceramic / Plaster / Marble / China / Stone / Resin - (or any item containing these materials)
• Jewellery and objects constructed of precious metals and/or stones
• Loose precious stones
• Passports / Birth Certificates
• Perishable goods
• Plants / Seeds / Flowers
• Unaccompanied baggage / Suitcases (unless packaged in a box)
• Firearms including replica's
• Items that could be used as weapons (eg. decorative swords or knives)
• Credit Cards / Blank Cheques

We will not accept any materials and products that may be dangerous or hazardous to DHL.

If you are unsure if an item is covered by any liability cover for loss or damage you are advised to contact us before sending the item, items that do not have any merchantable value such as documents or anything without a valid cost invoice are unable to be claimed for loss / damage as we will require a cost invoice as proof of value.

It is the senders responsibility to comply with current government regulations or laws applicable in each country. Not all commodities can be shipped to all countries.
